Securing a place at Tampa House

Tampa house offers medium- or long-term residential placements for children and young people aged between 8 to 18 years.

Placements may continue after the age of 18 with prior consultation and discussion with the Manager. In this event a clear transition/exit plan must be put into place and the Manager shall ensure that Ofsted are notified and informed, securing any necessary variations to registration.

Tampa house will not accept same day placements. A detailed impact assessment will be completed prior to placement.

During the referral process all contact arrangements are discussed and are detailed in the placement plan and indicating any restrictions for the protection of the Young Person.

Tampa house will only place children and young people who meet our registration requirement; these include a range of disabilities, learning difficulties, Autism, associated challenging behaviour and complex needs, sensory impairment.

All staff are required to follow the admission process set out in the homes policies and procedures.
